English As It Is Writ
-
Agendas, or agenda, which
Of two should we request?
The former nods to English rules,
The latter, Latin’s test.
Root words are called for service
In our writing, but we’re stressed,
By former rules attending the
Etymologically well blessed.
About your Chimichanga then,
Say you she tastes the best?
Or your lunchtime Burrito now,
Does he have too much zest?
Our language mixes many words;
A mixing without rest.
Agendas, or agenda, which?
Conundrum corker est.
