Ev'ry winter holiday we host a relative array—
All our brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and nieces,
Keen on quite a good buffet from a fully loaded tray
Of lip-smacking gustatory masterpieces.
There is seldom disarray for it's a jolly holiday,
(Though on three of Chardonnay I'll play my Fender)
Made the cranberry pureé, while outside the children play
(If they're in the room, I never use the blender)
Ev'ry winter holiday, not then caring what we weigh—
We've the joy that comes near end of Fall semesters;
With a turkey on display and the delicate bouquet
Of head cheese from those belov'd delenda esters.
